I know we've talked about this before, but it is definitely worth mentioning again. Dresses are huge for summer. Sure shorts are still in. So are skirts. But if you're looking to be oh so up to date with your look a dress is what you need. Make that two. Wear them casually or dressed up. Wear them everywhere actually. They are a big trend for summer and a super easy one at that. Plus they come in every price range you can imagine and every shape and size too, so you'll have no excuse not to get one. Enjoy! We're on a downhill slide toward summer ladies and it's time to get a jump on our wardrobes including the oh so fun (and I'm being sarcastic here) swimsuit shopping. Never one of my favorite things to do, finding a swimsuit for summer can be a major pain in the behind. My advice; shave, slather on the self-tanner and start shopping now. The good news is the selection is still pretty good. The even better news is that the swimsuits at Gap, Boden, etc. are on sale. |

Ok. I have decided to give my "good watch" a break for the summer. I've been wearing the thing everyday for years now and it is in dire need of a good cleaning and a new battery. And.....since I have to send it away to get all that done, I'm thinking this summer is the perfect time to pick up an alternative watch. Something fun and casual, much less expensive and definitely fashion forward to wear all summer long with everything from cute cotton dresses to shorts and tees. A Toy Watch may be just the ticket. |

In case you hadn't heard Sarah Jessica Parker is launching her own line of clothing called 'Bitten' which will be sold exclusively at the seriously cheap, discount retailer Steve & Barry's. To be honest a clothing line from SJP was no big surprise. It was only a matter of time if you ask me. But to sell it at Steve & Barry's? Auuuggghhh! I'm just not a big fan of that place. Anyhoo, she's going to be on Oprah tomorrow to chat all about it. Just thought you might want to set your TiVo. |

Ok....so I'm in love with this new store. Well it's not exactly brand new, but it is relatively new to the whole major retail chain arena. American Eagle Outfitters, in an effort to extend its brand past the 25 year olds, has launched a new chain called Martin & Osa. Seriously stylish clothing aimed at the 25 to 40 year old crowd. How cool is that. My sister and I hit their Woodfield Mall store just last week. If it hadn't been for the self imposed budget I'm on I could have bought a ton. Maybe next time...... Big price differences are nothing new. I mean we all know it pays to shop around for name brand items like Lacoste polo shirts or Cole Haan shoes. But while I've come to expect prices differences between different stores, it is a bit ridiculous and down right annoying to me that price differences also occur between the online and brick & mortar stores of the same retail chain. Yes my friends, if you think that the prices online and in stores for retailers such as Gap, J.Crew and Banana Republic are always the same you are sorely mistaken. (1 comment posted) |

I've wanted a pair of these for a few years now. I have no idea why it's taken me so long to get some, but this year I am definitely in the market for a pair of cuffed and cropped jeans for summer. Granted I could just take my regular jeans and give them a nice roll, but I've tried that and they always seem to come unrolled at the most inopportune times. So....I am out to find an already cuffed pair in the perfect wash and fit. Wish me luck. |

I've always been a little leery of prints and bright colors aren't really my thing either, so when it comes to dresses mine are usually black or navy. Very stylish dresses mind you, but by themselves just a tad bit boring. No worries though. What my dresses lack in zippiness I make up for in my shoe selections. Super cute, bright colored, printed, jazzed up shoes that take my great looking dress and make it really pop. Women have been doing it for years and I love it. It's just an easy breezy way to kick your look up a notch and make it a little less predictable. How cool is that. |

Summer is just around the corner ladies and it's time to get busy with our summer wardrobes. Sure you need a few dresses, skirts, and pretty tops, but if you're like me you also need some great looking & fitting shorts and tees. Something you can throw on to run around town in, etc. Nothing too fussy, but still oh so stylish. Lucky for you I've been doing a little shorts & tees shopping myself. Here are a few of my favorites..... |
